This bar and restaurant, is located right on the beach, nestled
beneath towering trees from where guest can take in the sweeping views
of the Andaman Sea and gentle southern breezes. The menu features casual

seafood caught locally. Grilled, steamed or fried the chefs are there to

fragrances to the small walled treatment rooms, each named after a local

a village style, the pretty small straw roofed 'Salas' blend totally
with the natural beauty of the jungle. Each Sala has been designed with

should deep in the small shallow water pool that is allocated to them.

The Library Room, adjacent to the resort shop, has an extensive
selection of reading materials as well as computers with Internet access
so guests can keep in touch with their family and friends. There are
many books on Krabi province and Thailand, and on various aspects of
Thai arts, culture and history. A choice of CD's and DVD's is also
available free of charge for your own entertainment in your room.

We have several internet facilities at the resort and you will be
pleased to know that we provide this service "Free of Charge." Pimalai
provides internet connection at both Library Lounges that are located at
the Pool Villas' estate and at the Resort.
For guest traveling with a personal notebook, we have equipped all
rooms, suites and villas with a Local Area Network (LAN) cable that will
allow you to connect with internet.
The resort has also further equipped itself with wireless connection
at the Resort's Lobby bar and at the resort pool area, so you may
connect to your friends or family whilst enjoying a magnificent view.
Although many of our guests come to Pimalai in order "to get away
from it all" for others maintaining contact with the "outside world" is
important and essential. As well as offering internet communication,
free of charge, the Resort is equipped to handle GSM (Global System for
Mobile) communications. A nominal fee is applied for the use of this
service.

Trekking
There are a few Elephant camps on the island and yes, you can
experience the joy of riding your own elephant in Koh Lanta. Don't
forget to bring a couple of bananas with you.

The park is located some 6 kms. from Pimalai at the southern tip of
the island at the end of a spectacular, although bumpy, coastal drive.
It's a great walk going through fabulous trees and Gibbons type monkeys
are usually there to welcome you.

Water SportsAvailable free of charge, are canoes, windsurfs, sailing boat and
boggy boards. There are no motorized water sports (jet skis, water ski)
available on the island.
Islands Excursions
A number of small islands are part of the Lanta Marine National Park;
they are protected islands and offer great snorkeling trips! Regular
excursions are arranged throughout the week in Koh Rok, Koh Kradan, Koh
Haa, Koh Gnai where vast coral reef with brightly colored fish and sea
life can be seen. Koh Muk is renowned for its Emerald cave; a 60 meters
long tunnel that runs through a mountain and leads to a lagoon at the
bottom of a sheer vertical shaft in the mountain. All islands
destination are subject to weather and sea conditions.

Our classes have become hugely popular; Learn a few famous recipes
that you can take back home; you will cook yourself under the guidance
of one of our Head Chef; you will also receive a recipe guide booklet, a
souvenir Pimalai cooking apron to take home and if you do really well,
our Chef will hand over to you an official "Arroy Dee" cooking
certificate! This could lead you to set up your own Thai restaurant back
home!

Bicycles are available at the resort with our compliments. A brand
new 8 kms road has now been completed slicing through the existing
jungle; up, down with some great view points; you may also encounter the

Ideally
situated in the growing southern Thailand province of Krabi, Koh
Lanta has converted from an 80's backpacker haunt into a new hot
spots in South East Asia. And while budget travelers still find
ample space to cool their heels, Lanta has gone up-market in the
past years with new four and five star resorts dotting its
picturesque 40 kilometers Andaman coastline. The island's proximity
to Phuket, Phi Phi, Krabi and even Bangkok, makes it a great holiday
alternative to other crowded and commercial tropical island

Koh
Lanta Yai is approximately 32 kms. long by 6 kms large. It has a
very diverse cultural mix with Thai-Muslim, Thai-Chinese and the
original Sea gypsies, all having lived on the island in harmony for
hundred years. The island is a long thin island running north-south.
The west coast, where Pimalai is located, faces the Andaman sea with
a string of great white-sand beaches and offers of course
unforgettable sunsets. The east coast is less developed and offers
glimpses of life before tourism. It faces the mainland and has a
coastline largely consisting of mangrove; large limestone rocks
formation can also been seen providing a spectacular natural
postcard.
